About Marci

Marci Jones is a neurodiversity-affirming school psychologist who specializes in comprehensive psychological and educational testing for children and adolescents. She brings over six years of experience supporting students with diverse learning, developmental, and emotional needs.
Marci holds a Master of Science in School Psychology from National University and is completing her PhD in Developmental Psychology at Walden University (expected January 2026). Her work is rooted in evidence-based, strength-oriented assessment practices that highlight each child’s unique profile of abilities, challenges, and potential for growth.
In addition to her school-based experience, Marci has developed district-wide initiatives promoting inclusion, wellness, and neurodiversity awareness. She co-founded the Student Inclusion Team and leads the Special Education Team, integrating research on nervous-system functioning, self-regulation, and sensory processing into her approach to student support.
Marci is certified in Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), and Neurological Self-Regulation Techniques. She also participates annually in advanced professional trainings through the California Association of School Psychologists (CASP) and PDA North America.

Marci's Approach
At Irvine Family Counseling, Marci leads the Psychological Testing Department, ensuring each evaluation is personalized, collaborative, and empowering. Her goal is to help families make sense of complex profiles through clear, compassionate feedback and actionable recommendations that foster growth across home, school, and community settings.
Outside of her work with kids, Marci enjoys simple moments such as coffee with friends, long walks or hikes, and journaling. These practices help her stay grounded in gratitude, balance, and the joy of everyday life.
